Leadership Talent Audit competition terms and conditions

Please read these competition rules carefully. If you enter the competition, we will assume that you have read these rules and that you agree to them.

  1. Only one entry and one motivation per company will be accepted.
  2. Motivation must be no more than 500 words and must clearly make a case for the company to participate in the leadership audit with SHL.
  3. To enter, the company must have no less than 60 staff which work within South Africa (at least 30 staff will need to be assessed in the audit).
  4. Management buy-in regarding competition participation is a mandatory competition field that must be accepted to enter the competition.
  5. SHL and The SA Leader reserve the right to publish the results of the competition in the form of a case study on completion of the audit process.
  6. No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are lost in cyberspace or delayed, or which are not received for any reason.
  7. The competition closing date is 5 July 2013 as specified on the competition page but SHL and Geoffrey Dean Marketing Corporation cc publishers of The SA Leader (known as the “Publisher”) reserve the right to amend the competition end date at any time.
  8. No late entries will be accepted.
  9. The winner of the Leadership Talent Audit competition will be notified telephonically and via email.
  10. If the winner selected is un-contactable (telephone is repeatedly engaged, rings continuously with no reply or goes to voicemail or there is no reply via email correspondence within reasonable time) another winner will be chosen.
  11. The panel of judges for this competition will include members of the; Publisher, SHL marketing team and its PR agency.
  12. The winner of this competition will be drawn on the basis on the best rationale submitted.
  13. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  14. The prize will not be transferable to another company.
  15. No part of the prize is exchangeable for cash or any other SHL service. The prize valued at R200,000 (two hundred thousand rand) includes:
    1. A leadership audit for 30 people
    2. A benchmark study
    3. A business outcomes study
    4. Case Study publicising the results on The SA Leader
  16. SHL and the Publisher reserve the right to amend these competition rules at any time without recourse of any kind to any of the parties involved.
  17. The winning entry will be chosen within two weeks after the closing date of the competition.
  18. The roll-out of the leadership audit must occur within July and August 2013 – preferably with the first project meeting during the week commencing 15 July.
  19. By entering this competition you authorise the Publisher, SHL and its PR agency to collect store and use the information provided for communication and statistical purposes. You are entitled to decline or opt out of future marketing communication. Opting-in is not a requisite to participate in the competition.
