John Brown Media nominated for prestigious CMA awards

Pick n Pay’s Fresh Living, South Africa’s top selling food magazine, produced by John Brown Media, has been nominated for Best Retail Consumer magazine for the 2014 International Content Marketing Association (CMA) awards - the only South African title to have made this international shortlist.

The John Brown Group, a global leading content marketing agency has no fewer than 20 shortlisted nominations, more than any other agency in the world.  These nominations encompass social media, web and app-based platforms, catalogues, magazines, multimedia and more for leading brands such as Waitrose, John Lewis, PruHealth, Virgin, RBS and Pick n Pay.

In order to be nominated agencies need to prove ROI for their clients and the impact of the content needs to be measurable. Content marketing should impact brand awareness, engagement, lead quality and lead quantity.

“This is the first year that John Brown South Africa has entered with Fresh Living and we are honoured to be shorlisted with 9 other international brands. The fact that the nomination criteria is based on measurable results and not just beautiful visuals is quite significant and shows that our content leads to commercial success” says Managing Director Lani Carstens.

The 2014 shortlist was decided by the CMA’s panel of judges from more than 450 entries from 16 countries, and has become the most competitive awards in the world. The event pulls in more entries from more countries per category than any other marketing awards event worldwide and represents the gold standard in content marketing.

The awards ceremony takes place on the 26th November in London. To view the full list of shortlisted titles click here.
