Ocean Basket Reels In The Big Fish

Once again Ocean Basket has reeled in the big fish; pulling in four titles at this year's Leisure Options Reader’s Choice Awards.

South Africa's most loved seafood restaurant proved they've got Joburgers hooked by winning “Best Beat The Budget Restaurant” and “Best Seafood Restaurant” in Johannesburg. Angling for global domination, Ocean Basket also took home “Best Seafood Restaurant and Best Sushi Restaurant” in Pretoria. Best of Bloemfontein in the category of “Best Seafood Restaurant” was also an accolade for the second year running.

"We're proud to say that for the fourteenth year running we’ve won Best Seafood Restaurant in Johannesburg and for the last three years we've taken the title of Best Seafood Restaurant in Pretoria," says Ocean Basket's Grace Harding.  "The Awards are based on reader votes so we're incredibly proud to know that our customers voted for us.

At Ocean Basket, we guarantee that all of our seafood served is not only fresh but also comes from the very best suppliers. We're very focused on the important aspects of sustainability and the environment, and work partnership with the South African Sustainable Seafood Initiative (SASSI).We really appreciate our customer's support and will continue to bring you the freshest seafood at the lowest prices."

The Ocean Basket Franchise Group is a resounding success now with almost 190 restaurants established worldwide. This phenomenal global expansion in just 19 years, or one every six weeks, is due to the Group's unshakable recipe for success: an exciting menu of top quality seafood at remarkably low prices, plus excellent and friendly service.
